Mature trees are conventionally felled for timber, with smaller timber being harvested for the ever growing premium wood fuel market. According to the sites requirements, felled sites can be mulched.

Waste Timber, Scrub Vegetation and Small Trees Timber of any size, brash from felled trees, scrub vegetation and roots that have not been chipped or sold as timber can be mulched.
